Quran memorization is the remembering of specific Surahs of the Quran or the whole Quran. You cannot force someone to memorize the Qur’an, as long as he is willing to do so. Quran memorization is a tough act to do but a person with full enthusiasm can do it easily. Many people in Canada wish to Hifz the Quran due to limited religious resources but they are unable to do it. Our institute has now introduced the Quran memorization course in Canada with other Quranic courses.
Hafiz is a Persian word used for a person who memorizes the Quran. Hafiz(male) or Hafiza(female). They are not Scholars, Mufti or Aalim, they are just Huffaz who memorize the Quran by heart. The Hafiz meaning in Arabic is preserver, guardian or protector. The Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad PBUH over 23 years. It contains 114 lessons and each lesson contains Allah’s commandments. It is the most beloved book of Muslims sent by Allah. Prophet Muhammad PBUH said:
“It shall be said – meaning to the one who memorized the Qur’an – ‘Recite, and rise up, recite (melodiously) as you would recite in the world. For indeed your rank shall be at the last Ayah you recited.”
The Objectives of the Canada Quran Memorization Course
Students discover the time, cause and place of revelation of each verse.
The verse they are studying will be explained(translated) by the teacher.

Quran Memorization Programs
Hifz Quran classes in Canada are divided into various categories according to the particular age.
Quran Hifz for Kids
The Quran Hifz classes for kids offer a program that includes remembering small Surahs of the Quran, Hadith and Dua used in daily life. The colourful animations and rhymes are used to attract kids.

Quran Hifz for Adults
The Quran memorization course in Canada has a separate program only for adults. The Classes can be arranged according to one’s schedule. In this, the adults learn the specific Surahs of the Quran and supplication for success, stress, patience, etc.

Quran Hifz for Ladies
Ladies Quran memorization program offers memorization of the Quran and daily life supplication for good marriage, children, etc. The weekend classes are accessible if a lady can’t enrol in the weekend classes. She can contact the institute for special classes in her leisure time.

Quran Hifz for Beginners
Beginners face more difficulty in memorizing the course. They are not familiar with the memorization. They take more time to understand and the program covers all the basic Duas, Surahs for daily life usage and Hadith. A large number of students enrol in beginner-level programs to learn from basics.
Levels of Memorization
Juz’ Amma: It is the memorization of the last Para and is divided into two sections. The program begins with An-Naas and ends at Al Balad in the first section. The second section is from Surah Al Balad to Amma.
Juz’ Tabarak: Juz’ Tabarak is the memorization of the second-last Parah.
Ajzaa: The memorization of selected Surahs or parts of the Quran is called Ajzaa.
Ijazah: The memorization of the whole Quran is known as Ijazah. It is an advanced stage and is suggested to be done after the memorization of small levels.

Pre-Requirements
The person should grasp how to read the Quran. He/She knows the basics of Arabic Grammar, vocabulary and punctuation. The Participant masters the reading of Noorani Qaida. Familiar with the rules of Tajweed before enrolling.
Age-Limit
Anyone can register for a Quran memorization course Canada. No age restrictions are made at all.
Teaching Method
The teacher reads a verse using Tajweed. The students listen to the teacher and do practice. First, they see the verse while reading gradually they read it orally. The instructor does not move to the next verse until the first one is truly remembered.
The previous lessons are revised for the students regularly. If a student has difficulty in previous or present lessons, an extra session is managed to overcome the obstacle.

No, it’s not permissible for all Muslims to Hifz the Quran. Only those are suggested to do who have a passion for it.
You can memorize any Suarh of the Quran. But it’s recommended to Hifz that the first Surah of the Quran Surah Fatiha should memorised. It is recited in prayers(Salah).
