Due to the fear of being lost it, it was also preserved in regular book form.

That is why Allah has made the Qur’an easy to memorize and to take advice. Anyone can memorize this book of Allah, the Lord of Glory, very easily in a very short period of time as compared to other books. There are two levels of memorizing the Qur’an.

1. The first level is to make the student learn the Holy Quran orally so that he can read it easily in prayer. It includes the last forty Surahs, Surah Yaseen, Surah Tabarak Al-Dhi(Al Mulk), and Surah Al-Waqi’ah.

Every Muslim needs to memorize these basic Surahs of the Qur’an and the supplications. Therefore, every Muslim should memorize the last ten surahs and the supplications recited in the prayers. That’s why we make all the new students learn the basic surahs and the duaa. By taking time out of the lesson, these basic things are taught.

2. The second level is that the student should memorize the whole Qur’an, from Surah Al-Fatihah to Surah Nas, complete 30 para and 114 Surahs.

This second type of memorization is the original memorization of the Qur’an which has been revealed by Allah, the Exalted, with special virtues. Because it involves memorizing the whole book, which also requires the hard work of the student. For this reason, a separate complete course is prepared for Hifz, in our best Quran Hifz school and special arrangements are made for giving new lessons as well as repetition of old lessons.

Virtues of memorizing the Quran

Many virtues of memorizing the Qur’an have been mentioned in Hadiths:

يقال لصاحب القرآن: اقرأ وارتق، ورتل كما كنت ترتل في الدنيا، فإن منزلك عند آخر آية تقرؤها

t will be said to the one devoted to the Qur’an: Read, ascend, and recite with deliberation as you used to recite in the world. Your rank will be at the last verse you recite.

Hasan/Sound. – [Abu Dawood]

The importance of memorizing the Qur’an can be gauged from the fact that in the time of the Prophet (peace be upon him) whoever became a Muslim was first taught the Qur’an and then, memorized the Holy Qur’an. In fact, in the early days, every Muslim memorized a significant portion of the Qur’an orally.

As the Qur’an was revealed, so did the Companions memorize it. The regular order in which the Qur’an exists in our time in the form of a Mushaf was not then. At that time the Qur’an was written on paper, stones and bones in various places. Most people relied on memory and most of the Companions kept the Qur’an in their hearts. But when 360 huffaz were martyred in the battle of Yamama, Hazrat Abu Bakr (RA) and Hazrat Umar (RA) expressed their concern about it. So Hazrat Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) compiled the Qur’an in the form of a Mushaf.

Muslims need to memorize the Qur’an if they are willing to do so. But a Muslim can’t be forced to Hifz the Quran. Besides memorization, it’s more important to understand the Quran and live life according to its teachings.

The Reward for Hifz Quran

Just as every Muslim should be able to read the words of the Qur’an, it is also important for some people to memorize the Qur’an. Remember, memorizing the Quran is a journey and not a race. Don’t rush yourself, and take it one step at a time. May Allah make it easy for you to memorize His Book.

The fastest way to memorize the Quran is not by reading it or even by listening to it being recited, but rather by reciting it yourself. This method can be used by anyone who wants to memorize the Quran quickly.

Here’s one way to approach memorizing the text of the Qur’an. Start by picking a line of scripture that you’d like to memorize. Read the whole passage aloud. Then read the whole thing again. After that, repeat those steps until you’ve read the entire passage three times. And the next time you go over that passage, stop after each paragraph and say the words out loud. That way, when you go back to read the passage again, it will start to stick. And the more you repeat the lines, the easier they will become to remember.

Memorizing the Quran at home is a great way to learn the holy book of Islam, even if it’s only a small portion of the whole book. You can use technology to help you memorize the Quran. Getting online one on one lessons with private tutors can greatly help you achieve consistency and find better results in memorizing from home

Yes, of course. Our Online Hifz course allows students to plan their study time.

A good trick to read Quran while concentrating is to keep reading the same word. If you read “Allah,” “Thee,” or “Amin,” you will be forced to focus. Then, when you’re finished, read it again to remind yourself what you just read. Another trick is to use a pencil to write down the letters of each word. Then, you will be able to see all the letters that you have written. This way, you will focus better while you’re reading and you will be able to remember what you just read.

I have been led to understand that reading the Quran daily is one of the greatest acts of worship that I can perform, and I intend to keep my promise to Allah. Also, the Quran is a source of strength, guidance, and comfort for me, and I want to continue reading it. If I don’t continue reading the Quran, I fear that I may lose touch with the religion that I have been practicing for so long.
