We are offering Tafseer classes in Canada for the Muslims living there. As Muslims in Canada are a minority, there are fewer opportunities for Muslims to seek knowledge of the Quran. Most Muslims are non-native Arabic speakers. They learn Quranic Arabic to recite the Quran. But they Learn Arabic, not its interpretation. That’s why they don’t know what’s written in the Quran. The Quran Tafseer classes are specially designed to understand the meaning of the Quran and how people can implement it in life.

Tafseer means the explanation, interpretation and exegesis of the Quran. Quran is written in Classical Arabic which is different from Modern Standard Arabic(MSA). Only people with a strong grip on Classical Arabic can teach Tafseer. We have a well-trained staff keeping great skills in Quranic Arabic. 

Whenever the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad PBUH, he gathered his companions(Sahabah) and used to tell them the verses and their explanations. The Sahabah wrote them on stones, leaves or skin of animals and tried to remember them. Abdullah Ibn Abbas is known as the first Sahabi to interpret the Quran in the right way using Hadith. Later, his record was written into a book named Tanwir al-Miqbas min Tafsir Ibn Abbas. The Prophet PBUH said:

No time limit is given for the completion of the online Tafseer course. The students’ pace and learning level decide the duration. Some students have strong picking skills that help them to complete the course in little or no time. But our main focus usually lasts on the Tafseer. It takes more time to learn. When the kids become familiar with it, the speed of the lessons increases.

Age Limit

The Tafseer classes in Canada are designed for younger students above 17. The younger students understand the translation and try to implement it in routine. We are thinking of introducing the Tafseer learning course for kids. If we make progress on this, we’ll inform you.

Pre-Requirements 

The students should read the Quran correctly, and know the basic grammar and vocabulary. They should know the important events and history of Islam. They are aware of Prophet Muhammads’ PBUH life and Sunnah. All these requirements are because when students know much about Islam, they’ll learn the course quickly. 

Teaching Method

 The teaching method is quite simple and easy. Teachers tell the students word-to-word translation of a verse and briefly explain it. After repeating several times, the instructor gives a chance to students. The verse is heard from the students whether they interpret it correctly or not. The process is kept going until the students do it accurately.

The background or story is shared if a verse or Surah relates to it. The teacher teaches them how to explain briefly or smoothly. The daily work of learners is checked by the instructor. The weekly tests are taken from the participants. The progress graph is shared with the students. 

Online Quran Tafseer classes in English, Urdu and many other languages are accessible. Zoom, WhatsApp, Skype and Google Meet are used for online classes. Extra Tafseer classes can be managed on students’ will.
